For a detailed book on everything you ever wanted to know (and more to my experience much of which I had absolutely no inkling) about Hard Cider, you don’t need to look any further, it’s here. I like my hard cider, even sort of successfully brewed it a few times, but my eyes are opened to the vastness of what is out there. You will find substantial information about the craft itself is followed by reviews of hard cider products... followed by recipes. Ah yes, recipes, my heart throbs and mouth salivates for more than a few of the contributions. Many taverns have contributed to this book as well, taking it up a notch or three. The Author has a pen for prose, an eye for illustrations and photography, and a whit that sets the stage for an enjoyable coffee table publication. This is a keeper, and though I have the Adobe version, I will be adding the paper version as soon as I can.

If you have ever wanted to create a Spa experience in your own home, this is the book for you. As an esthetician, if I was going to recommend an easy to read, well designed, clean book with gorgeous photographs that is choc full of easily creatable recipes and accessories… This is the one I would choose. It starts off with a great introduction of easy to find to ingredients and goes directly into the meat of the book… The recipes. It is not only recipes, however, there are fabulous DIY for complimentary items you would never think of such as making press on nail art, a shoe sachet, a shower pouf, shaving cream, an eye pillow and more. The chapters, Hands and Feet, Bath, Body, Face and Hair have just enough variety to keep everyone happy and feeling pampered. I highly recommend this book for everyone with skin, nails and hair. This book is not a new concept, but one we should listen to. Tiny is referring to the waist size. An appropriate sized waist (aka tiny) is indeed a sign , most times, of good health and it is undoubtedly universally attractive. George brings us back to the standards from way back when that weight loss is simply eating well and counting calories eliminating sugar and most processed foods. There are lots of theories and diets out there and I think he is right in his thinking. This diet encourages eating clean which in turn supports the thyroid, and keeps the pancreas in check. The recipes are repetitive, but appropriate and certainly a person who needs to lose some weight around their middle can work with for a month or more. It’s worth the read and the follow. I have in my collection a few salad books, and I’m thinking this is one of the best. I love the way fabulous cooks can create unique salads by paring unexpected ingredients to create memorable salads that encourage subtle moans of delight, or others that can subdue a dinner party with the first bite. This book goes the extra foot by suggesting how a salad be plated, or just how to prepare those special spices in a way that brings out their magnificence. The authors encourage you to step outside the salad box and add your favorite bits of delight to make your salads even more spectacular. I have tried several recipes in this book and will absolutely continue my journey with it. Love the grilled cheese croutons... and the Grilled Peach and Apricot Salad with Prosciutto and Kale. You will also find at least one new recipe for a dressing to live for. I did! |
